8“ Newton reflector with EQ-5 mount

Another advantage is that the mount is equpipped with a lighted polarscope (the light is adjustable) - this scope helps to find the accurate adjustment at the celestial pole and is an indispensable aid for astrophotography! There is also the optional possibility to apply a dual-axis motor drive with a hand control. Equipped with this motor an automatic adjustment and long-term exposures are easily possible.

The telescope tubes come fully equipped with a 8x50 finderscope with adjustable lighting. This lighting offers a higher contrast and eases the finding of celestial objects a lot.

In any case, we recommend you to use 2” wide angle eyepieces since the telescope can only show its full power if they are used.

The big 8x50 finderscope is lighted and eases the finding of objects on the nightly sky a lot. The light intensity is individually adjustable. The finderscope is mounted in a metal mounting plate with a quick-release The 6 adjustment-screws make a fast and accurate adjustment possible.

The focus tube is made for both    1.25” and 2” eyepieces. The 2” eyepiece shown above is an optional accessory. The focus tube can be locked with a screw and is suited for astrophotography.

Easy to access and accurately adjustable screws to adjust the main mirror. The screws can be turned without using tools. 3 of the screws are for adjustment, 3 are for locking.
