152 mm refractor on EQ-5 mount

The Astro Professional Advanced Series offers complete telescope-systems which perfectly suit the needs for an ambitious start into the world of astronomy. Another plus is that all telescopes come with a very stable EQ-5 mount which works very accurate and sensitive at the same time.

Another advantage is that the mount is equpipped with a lighted polarscope (the light is adjustable) - this scope helps to find the accurate adjustment at the celestial pole and is an indispensable aid for astrophotography! There is also the optional possibility to apply a dual-axis motor drive with a hand control. Equipped with this motor an automatic adjustment and long-term exposures are easily possible.

The telescope tubes come fully equipped with a 8x50 finderscope with adjustable lighting. This lighting offers a higher contrast and eases the finding of celestial objects a lot.

The Astro-Professional 152 mm refractor offers excellent color reproduction and contrast due to its big aperture and focal lenght. Especially during planet observations this telescope will amaze with high optical quality. The 2” focus tube is particularly suitable for astrophotography.

The massive EQ-5 mount with a tripod (featuring steel-legs) carries the tube safely and gives firm stand for the whole system.

The integrated, lighted polarscope offers the possibility to align the telescope accurately to the polar star.

Another basic feature is the 2” focus tube including an 1,25” adapter for smaller 1,25” eyepieces.

In any case, we recommend you to use 2” wide angle eyepieces since the telescope can only show its full power if they are used.

The tube is equipped with an 2” focus tube. A direct connection thread for mirror reflex cameras is a basic feature. The only thing left needed is the T2 adapter ring matching your camera. The focus tube can be locked with a screw so nothing can move when the camera is adapted.

The big 8x50 finderscope is lighted and eases the finding of objects on the nightly sky a lot. The light intensity is individually adjustable. The finderscope is mounted in a metal mounting plate with a quick-release The 6 adjustment-screws make a fast and accurate adjustment possible.

A basic feature is the 2” focus tube. Equipped with the 1,25” adapter it can hold 1,25” eyepieces (shown on the right). 2” eyepieces are not basic features - you can find them in the accessory-area.
